NEW FROM WITH THY NEEDLE AND THREAD (BRENDA GERVAIS)

Oh boy!  Am I in trouble......I love all of these designs and I guess they are going to end up  in my ever-growing 'to stitch' pile!  At this point, I don't even know which one I would start first.  So sit back, check them out and decide which ones to reserve for your stitching pile...

Merry Christmas is stitched in the style of her Summer Schoolhouse series...one over one.  Finished size is about 5.5x2 on 28ct mushroom lugana.  Stitch size is 153x59 so you could easily do it over 2 and end up with a picture or pillow 11x4 if stitched on a 28ct fabric.  Better yet, Brenda even says it could be done on a large count like 22 over 2 and you would end up with a large sofa pillow. (I've stitched several of her charts on large count fabric and just love the way they turned out as a large pillow.)  Threads used...GA:  Woodrose, Wood Trail, Endive; CC:  Chili pepper, Eggshell, Peanut Brittle, Straw Hat.

Snow Birds wearing cute little scarves to keep them warm, is stitched on 40ct Confederate Gray.  Stitch count is 121x85.  Threads....GA: Apple Cider, Pumpkin Pie, Wood Trail; CC:  Eggshell, Ginger Bread, Cherry Cobbler, Tennessee Red Clay, Ye Olde Gold, Cayenne; WDW: Peach, Sage, Oscar.

O Tannenbaum uses a box but think about finishing each design independently from the next one.  Stitched on 36ct Legacy, you would need a 9x26 cut of fabric.  Threads used...GA:  Dried Thyme, Apricot Blush, Old Red Paint, Cidermill Brown, Woodrose, Roasted Marshmallow, Wood Trail; CC:  Eggshell, Hickory Sticks, Hazelnut, Weeping Willow; WDW:  Sandcastle, Red Rocks.

And last but certainly not least is Jingle All the Way.  Finished like her Halloween witch on an oval paper mache box with pompom trim, the design is stitched on 40ct Confederate Gray.  Threads used...GA:  Apple Cider, Roasted Marshmallow, Wood Trail, Woodrose, Parchment, CC:  Chili pepper, Ginger Bread, Cherry Cobbler, Ye Olde Gold.

NEW CHARTS ARRIVING SOON

It's that time to add new charts to the shop and with this time of the year, new holiday charts are starting to come out.

Abby Rose has a series of Sampler Stocking Ornaments.  Two more are now out and I'm showing pics of all 3 in case you didn't see her first one.  They are really cute.  The 3rd pic is the first stocking out.

Hands on Design has created Stitching is my Heart's Desire. I've got to do this one.  Love the colors and , of course, the saying.

Little House Needleworks continues with the Americana series, almost to the last one.  We now have Patrick Henry and his 'Give me liberty or give me death' speech.

Also released by LHN is Bethlehem.  Looks to be a quick stitch and we all need one of those.  How about finishing it as a pillow or a rectangular cube finish.

And last but not least, we're getting in some more sleds for you to stitch up with all the new sleds charts I showed in the previous post.  So get started now.  We have the sleds and perforated paper in stock.

SLED ORNAMENTS

Over the last couple of years,  I and many of my customers have been stitching mini sleds as Christmas ornaments and package ties.  They've even stitched  medium and large size sleds, but the mini sleds are the most popular.  We've received several new charts, just today, to stitch new designs for Halloween and Christmas.  Here they are:

Lizzie Kate offers up Nutcracker Sleds and Stocking Sleds.

Sue Hillis Designs gives us Christmas for the Patriot, Christmas for the Stitcher, Monster Mash and Witch Hat?.  I won't be painting  sleds any day soon, but I can see stitching these cute guys on perforated paper and creating tag hangers for my Halloween tree.
