OUR FIRST FRIDAY STITCH

It's time to start thinking about our First Friday stitch to start in the new year.  Since January 1st is on a Friday, we're going to postpone the first meeting until January 8, 2016.  Then we will switch back to the first Friday for the months of February through May.  Time will be 7-9pm.  Cost is $5.00 per meeting.

If you are not familiar with this group, we meet on the first Friday of the month and stitch a theme.   The Spring Stitch enables you to stitch a project with a theme that occurs in the first 5 months of the year. . . It could be snowmen, Valentines Day, Easter, flowers or Patriotic designs.  Your choice.

We are limited on space, so please reserve your seat for the January session.  If you don't, you may not be able to join the group.  In June, we switch topics and start a Halloween themed stitch through October.  This is a separate group and will take reservations for the Halloween stitch in May.

So consider it and join our First Friday Stitch....it's lots of fun with fellow stitchers and  you get to see what others are working on.  Call today and reserve your spot.

ARRIVING SOON FROM WITH THY NEEDLE AND THREAD

Brenda Gervais is bringing us 4 holiday treats.  Ho!Ho!Ho! is stitched on a 36ct Tin Roof and uses WDW, CC Belle Soie (DMC alternatives are given) an GAST threads.

Merry Mouse is really cute and is stitched on a 40ct fabric (you can stitch on something larger) using WDW, GAST and CC threads.

One Starry Christmas Eve is on a 36ct Aztec Red using CC Belle Soie, with DMC alternatives given.

Last but not least, is Jolly Happy Soul.  Stitched on a 35ct fabric using WDW, GAST and CC.

All of the above can be stitched on larger counts and you can use your own color schemes if  you want to use only DMC colors.  Have you tried the overdyes?  Yes, they are more expensive but I do believe they give more depth to your pieces.  Once you start purchasing them, you'll start creating a stash of overdyed colors and can use them in future designs.
