MAY 25th NEW CHARTS AND NEWS AND NEW HOURS

Hope everyone will be safe and enjoy their Memorial  Day Weekend.  I'm going to stay home and maybe do a little organizing, watch more flosstube videos and STITCH!  Most of you know I had surgery recently and though I am doing well, I'm exhausted.  I've reduced my working hours, probably throughout the entire summer, and they will be Wed thru Sat 11-3.  We will still be open the first Sunday of the month and that will be 11-2.

June is fast approaching and our First Friday Stitch will change into HALLOWEEN STITCH on Friday June 1, from 7-9.  Cost is $5.00.  Bring your Halloween stitching and come join us from June thru October.  Our CHRISTMAS STITCH  is the 2nd Sunday of the month (June 10) from 1-4 and cost is $5.00.  Pick a Christmas project and join us for some fun stitching and chatting.

Since the 4th of July is on a Wednesday this year we need to change the schedule.  We will NOT be open July 1, the first Sunday of the month.  We will close Sat. June 30 for the holiday weekend and reopen the shop on Thursday July 5 at 11am.  Stay  tuned  because July is going to be a busy month.   We'll start off with Halloween Stitching on the 6th from 7-9.   Then...... 
                         
PATRIOTIC CHART SALE will be Thursday July 5 thru Saturday July 7.  All in stock patriotic merchandise will be 20% off with 15% off all other purchases.  Stop in and stock up for the rest of the summer.  There will be more coming for July, after all we need to start concentrating on Christmas and other fall holidays.

Heartstring Samplery's FESTIVE LITTLE FOBS PATRIOTIC EDITION  is really cute.  Gotta do a few of these and I'll be using them as little ornies and not fobs.

Hands on Design's new QUEEN BEE FLOWER FARM......gives us 3 of today's favorites...chalkboard design, chickens and bees.

An old design KNEE HIGH  has been released.  It had been available only in a stitching magazine and has been very popular.  Now you can get it in chart form.

Back in stock in the shop is the new release of VILLAGE GREEN from Prairie Schooler.  It came in and went right out and we now have more back in stock.  It's a 'keeper'.

Country Cottage Needleworks gives us EVERY HEART. 

RISE AND SHINE comes from Scissor Tail Designs.  I like the little ornie on the Rooster's neck.  It's stitched over one thread on a 28ct fabric.  I don't mind stitching on a 25ct over 1 so that's what I'm going to do.

Hands on Design continues her White Christmas series with CHRISTMAS EVE, NOEL  and LUMINARIA LANE.

The laundry series is continuing with LOADS OF FUN.  I love how she finished these....so clever.

Last but not least is PROVERBIAL HOME from Hands on Design.  She has just moved into a new home that she designed and created this sampler for her wall.  Very meaningful.

If you've not heard about this new cross stitch phenomena called FLOSS TUBE, you should check it out.  You can watch them on a computer, phone or tablet.  It's part of You Tube.  Cathy Haberman of Hands on Design would be a good one to stat with.  That's where I heard about the Proverbial Home design and saw her laundry room that will house her laundry series designs.  Just click here and select video #13 to check it out.  There are lots of floss tubers who are just regular stitchers who show you what WIP's they are working on, what finished they've done and what new purchases they've made.  You can get lots of ideas for new projects and ways to finish them.  Very entertaining.


STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER was a club piece from Heartstring Samplery and now has been released to the public.  A really cute stitch.

GRANDMA'S QUILT  is the next in the Farmhouse Christmas Series from LHN.  It was shipped to me yesterday and I hope it will be here by Saturday for all of those who signed up for the series.  You'll have something to stitch over the holiday.
