Brenda Gervais of With Thy Needle and Thread, has created the perfect summer project....Summer Schoolhouse. There will be 4 lessons and you will create 6 petite projects, known as smalls. The mystery series will start in June and the fourth chart will arrive in September. If you have ever wanted to stitch one over one, here's your chance. You will be stitching on 28ct mushroom lugana...an evenweave fabric which will make stitching one over one much easier as the threads are all even, allowing the holes to be more prominent. Flosses being used are one skein of each...WDW: Peach, Oscar, Olive, Sandcastle and Flat Fish; GA: Old Hickory, Lexington Green, Mountain Mist, Uniform Blue and Woodrose; CC: Pebble Beach, Hazelnut, Cayenne, Used Brick and Egg Shell. Heartstring Samplery has created A Little Quaker, stitched on 32 Stars Hollow Blend with a stitch count of 101x93. It uses CC, GA and WDW flosses. It's really cute and gives a great idea of Quaker designs. Also new is Once Upon a Summer Huswife, a pocket to hold flosses and needles when traveling. Why couldn't you just stitch the piece and frame it? This is stitched on a 35ct fabric with a stitch count of 247x71. This design also uses CC, GA and WDW flosses.
