What's New? HOLLY AND HEARTS

First, I'd  like to thank all those who have given me items for the contest.  We still need more, so keep them coming in.

Second, I'd like to thank all those who support Just Cross Stitch in Lederach.  It's so easy, in today's world, to sit down in front of the computer and push a button and place an order.  It's really hard, today, to maintain a Brick and Mortar small business, and that is what I am trying to do.  I love having the shop, coming in to work and talking and visiting with my stitching friends, seeing what you are working on and your finished projects.  On an individual basis, we  can help you select a pattern, change floss colors, select a fabric to stitch on and a frame to finish it....because we are a brick and mortar shop.  THANK YOU for your loyalty.

Finally, what's new?  Lizzie Kate has a mystery sampler... Holly and Hearts.  Finished size on 14/28 should be 7x16.  It uses 12 Weeks Dye Works skeins (some are multiples)  and an overdyed fabric, Doubloon, from Picture This Plus.   28 count and 14 count fabric will both be available.  We will need to know if you want linen or aida when you order.

The sampler will come in 3 parts..... starting in September and ending in November.  Part 1 will include chart, threads and fabric; part 2's chart will contain a bonus holiday design; and, part 3 will include embellishments.  The design is chock full of holly and hearts.  There's a stylized holly border with some satin-y stitches.  Inside the design is more holly and many, many hearts.  Here's a sneak peek....

Stitching Contest

Come on ladies!  Bring in those pieces to enter in our Stitching Contest.  You've got next week to enter.  I have 3 pieces so far, but we need more.   Bring them in!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS.....

...a work in progress.  Remember a couple of posts ago, we previewed the new Prairie Schooler charts and Happy Christmas was one of them.  I said I was going to do it on a larger count.  Well, here it is...just the top section of the design, done on 10 count black Tula...and now I need to decide if I want to create a pillow,  put  it on a wreath , or make a door hanger.

What will it be?   Any Suggestions?

JULY...IS BUSTIN' OUT ALL OVER

Hi, Everybody.....July is going to continue to be a busy month.  We are currently offering a Halloween Preview.  You know, Halloween is the 2nd largest holiday.  Celebration of Halloween last year caused Americans to spend around 7 billion dollars (yes,  that's right...billion) on costumes, decorations and party favors.  More and more designs are appearing for this holiday and this year they seem to be arriving early.  You would still have time to stitch it and display it for this year.  Come check them out and pick out a new Halloween project to stitch.


Once again, July will bring us Christmas in July!  This year we will celebrate Wednesday July 24 through Saturday July 27.  Come in and receive 15% off all holiday charts and fabric purchased to stitch a holiday themed design.  That means you can bring in a holiday chart from your stash and earn a discount on the purchase of fabric for that chart.  You need to start now if you want to have it finished for this Christmas...it's coming fast.  The Prairie Schooler 2013 Santa is here as are other new designs for the holidays.

Don't forget we do custom framing and finishing of your cross stitch pieces.  I do the framing and I  have 2 excellent sewers for the finishing...everything from pillows to stand-ups to stockings.  If you do your own framing, we have a selection of frame corners and will be happy to order custom frames for you.

July also brings us our Stitching Contest.  It will be held in conjunction with Christmas in July.   We will display your framed pieces, your banners, your pillows.  Bring in a favorite cross stitch piece and enter it in our contest.  Customers during Christmas in July week, July 24-27, will vote on their favorite piece.  Every time a customer makes a purchase, a vote can be cast.  Come in multiple times and cast multiple votes for your favorite piece.  First Place winner will receive $20.00 in store credit and runner up will receive $10.00 in store credit.  So, go check out your finished pieces and enter your favorite in our Contest.  Entries will be accepted from now through July 20.  Enter and be a winner!
