A YEAR IN CHALK

Hands on Design has announced a bi-monthly series called A Year in Chalk.  This series gives a whimsical and spot on translation from Chalk Board to Linen by using threads and linen that resemble the popular art of chalkboards.  Every other month, 2 designs will be released at the same time.  The designs will be stitched on 30ct Gunmetal linen from WDW.  Each design is approximately 3x5 and will use Gentle Art threads.  Of course, all  will use the color Chalk with additional colors.  They will be mounted, using velcro to a wood board and can be changed each month so only one board is needed, unless you want to use additional boards.  (Boards will be released at the Nashville 2015 market late February.)

The first 2 designs will be released the 2nd week in January, so now is the time to sign up.

COMPLIMENTARY CHART

Here's a free chart from Classic Colorworks....free that is with the purchase of the threads to stitch the piece.  We've just ordered in the kits and they should be shipped today.  Holiday mail is definitely slowing down the post office, but I would think they should be here by Wednesday or Thursday.

DECEMBER CALANDAR

I'm posting a calendar for events during the month of December.  Let me know how you like it and if you can read it okay.  (You can left click on the calendar and it will enlarge.) Thinking about doing this for 2015.

SPRING STITCH

In January we will start our first round of FIRST FRIDAY STITCHING.... THE SPRING STITCH CLUB.  The club starts on Friday January 2.

We meet on the first Friday of the month from 7-9pm and stitch a project that has something to do with one of the first 5 months of the year.  You could stitch Valentine, Patriotic, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, snowmen, flowers...anything that happens in the first 5 months.  (Later in June, we'll switch to our Halloween Stitch.)  The cost is $25.00 for the 5 months.  If you don't think you can dedicate the First Friday of each month, you could 'visit' us when possible and pay $5.00 for each night you come.
