It's that time of year to start thinking about our yearly Halloween project. Just Cross Stitch has a Halloween Stitch on the first Friday of the month from 7-9pm. The cost is $5.00 per meeting. The Halloween stitch will run from June thru October and will end in time for you to finish the piece you are stitching and have another decor for this holiday.
Come join us Friday June 1 for the first of 5 monthly stitch groups and create another great Halloween piece in cross stitch.

I know it's been a while. Busy with getting new items in from the March Needlework market, taxes and just life in general.

Plum Street Samplers will be bringing out 4 new designs and they should be in the shop within 2 weeks. Hello Spring came out at market and is being followed by Hello Summer, stitched on a new color of R&R fabric called Patriot's Brew (which I have on order and should be receiving shortly). A cute and simple design with an Americana flair. Also stitched on the same fabric is Mariner's Drum. This design could be a companion piece for Cape Cod Keep. It shows a pirate anchoring his ship to search for sunken treasure. By the way, there is some 1 over 1 stitching on this piece.
Sampler House I and Sampler House II are starting a new series for PSS. Each will give a study of houses and traditional motifs that are found on antique samplers. Sampler House I is 97x97 and II is 98x99. Both are stitched on 36ct fabrics from R&R and use CC floss with DMC conversions given and could be framed, as shown, or sewn to create pillows/pinkeeps and thrown in a bowl or basket.
Continuing in her series, Summer House Stitche Workes has brought out #5 and #6 in her 2017 Fragments in Time series.

HOLIDAY HOURS
Due to the Easter holiday, we will be open this Saturday from 10-2 only.

NEW PLUM STREET SAMPLER DESIGNS
Cape Cod Keeps...designs of the whale measures 72x51 and the mermaid 73x52. She stitched them on 36ct fabric using Classic Colorworks and WDW flosses.
Sampler Lesson 2 was previously released as a kit and now just the chart pack. Stitched on a 36ct fabric, the stitch count is 99x82 and uses Classic Colorworks floss.
Cotton Bird has a stitch count of 127x107, uses 36ct fabric and CC and DMC flosses. This chart was previously a club piece. This is quite appropriate right now with the cotton plants since a lot in the design world is using cotton clusters, wreaths and stalks.

2017 NASHVILLE MARKET RELEASES IN SHOP
I didn't make Nashville this year and I really missed it. But the new charts are arriving slowly and here's some that arrived today and I add them to the Plum Street Sampler charts that arrived Wednesday.....
